Chillicothe residents will see the return of a trio of community services in coming months. Mayor Luke Feeney announced at Monday's Chillicothe City Council meeting that large-item pick-up will start the week of May 31st.
"There was money in the budget, and we're able to do that this year," said Feeney. "The schedule is on the website and the Facebook page."
Feeney also said there will be a Fourth of July fireworks celebration in Yoctangee Park, and the city pool will be open this summer.
In terms of legislation, Council passed an ordinance allowing elected officials to participate in the deferred compensation plan with the same city-match given to all other permanent employees, a resolution to allow the city to file applications with ODOT for the Ohio Rides to Community Immunity Program, and an ordinance re-appropriating funds for Utilities Department carryover projects.
