Chillicothe Parks & Rec Worker Allegedly Locked Children in Restroom

A Chillicothe Parks and Recreation Worker could be facing unlawful restraint charges after allegedly locking children in a park restroom.

The worker said they locked three children ages 11, 12, and 14 in the Yoctangee Park restroom because they thought they smelled marijuana and wanted to detain them until authorities arrived.

Police said yesterday they are investigating the incident, but no charges have been filed. Parks Director Bill Bonner said the employee is still on the job while the incident is reviewed by law enforcement.
