The Chillicothe Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol report they are investigating a two vehicle fatal crash that occurred on US-23 near milepost 15 in Ross County on January 16, 2022, at approximately 5:20 P.M.
27-year-old Michael A. Ward of Chillicothe was northbound on US 23 in a 2017 Dodge Challenger. About a mile south of the State Route 159 interchange, his car crossed the median into the southbound lanes, and struck a 2014 Ford Flex driven by 66-year-old Deanna B. Glendenning of Chillicothe.
Ward was pronounced dead at the scene by the Ross County Coroner.
Glendenning was transported by MedCare, and her passenger, 73-year-old Gale Glendenning, was transported by Green Township EMS, to Adena Regional Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries.
The Ohio State Patrol was assisted on the scene by Green and Springfield Township FD and EMS along with MedCare EMS.
