Now that family members have been notified, Chillicothe Police have released the name of the woman found dead in Chillicothe's East Side last weekend.
On Wednesday afternoon, Police Captain Michael A.D. Short identified the woman as 50-year-old Marcia L. Jones of Chillicothe.
Jones was found unresponsive by a passerby in the alley between Scioto and Sugar Streets shortly before 10:30 a.m. Sunday. She was pronounced deceased not long after.
Police report the cause of Jones’ death has yet to be determined.
