Woman who dragged dog sentenced

A Pike County woman has been sentenced to six months in jail for dragging a dog behind her vehicle in Ross County last July, which eventually led to the puppy's death. Cynthia Temple-Colburn of Waverly was sentenced on Monday after she pled guilty to a Felony Charge of animal cruelty. The Ross County Humane Society says the puppy, nicknamed Blake, was tied to a leash and pulled behind the car for over a mile, and later died due to the injuries suffered. Temple-Colburn will spend 180 days in jail, pay fines, and she is not allowed to own a companion animal again.
