Michael Ray unveiled the dates and stops of the “first leg”of his headlining tour in 2023. Fans of the “Whiskey and Rain’ artist won’t have to wait long to see him perform live… The 2023 tour is set to kick off this month, with its first show in Los Fresnos, Texas.

“I'm so excited to announce the first leg of my 2023 tour!!!” Ray posted on Instagram on Wednesday (February 1). “The spirit I'm bringing with me all year long is all about LIVING LIFE. Things really come into focus when you take the time to live a little life. For me, I give more in my live shows when I’m the same human off stage and on, versus only giving y'all one side of me when I’ve got a microphone in my hand.”

Ray also confirmed that concertgoers will get to listen some of his latest songs as he works on his fourth studio album: “I want y'all to come out to see us this year, hear some NEW MUSIC 🔥🔥 and know that, when you do, my band and I are gonna take great care of that time because it means so much to us!! See y’all very soon!!!”

Ray confirmed in a tweet in late October 2022 that he’s working on his next album. The highly-anticipated project will follow Ray’s 7-track EP, Higher Education, and Amos, which released in 2021 and 2019, respectively. Ray previously said said of that collection: “Higher Education is about going through life and the hard knocks that make you who you are ... coming out of it stronger, having let it change you without hardening you. This album reminds me that even though we all go through hard times, we grow and we’re better for it.”
