Ross Safety Council, First Capital Cornerstone Partner for NARCAN Training

The Ross County Safety Council is partnering with The First Capital Cornerstone of Change to bring a NARCAN Training & Harm Reduction Strategies workshop on Monday, February 27, 12pm to 2pm, at the Chillicothe Ross Chamber of Commerce, 45 E. Main St. Refreshments will be provided.

The First Capital Cornerstone of Change is an important group assisting individuals and families who are facing substance use disorder in the community. Having access to, and knowing how to properly administer, NARCAN or Naloxone can save a life. We never know when we will be faced with a life or death situation; it’s best to be prepared.

This training will focus on harm reduction strategies, the stigma of substance use disorder, the signs of overdose, explain how NARCAN affects the body, and the steps to take when administering NARCAN to an individual.

Registration is required as space is limited, there will be a waiting list.

If your company is enrolled in the Ross County Safety Council, this meeting will qualify as a meeting credit.

Register by February 24 at ChillicotheOhio.com/events.
