Lucasville Woman Succumbs to Injuries Sustained in Feb. Crash in Adams Co.

A Lucasville woman has died from injuries sustained in a single-vehicle crash in Adams County from late February.

According to the Georgetown Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Eleanor J. Ramsey, 86, was pronounced deceased at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center on Thursday, March 9th.

Ramsey was flown to UC Medical on the afternoon of Thursday, February 23rd after the northbound 2012 Cadillac SRX she was riding in as a back seat passenger veered off the side of State Route 73 near Boyd Road where it went into a ditch.

The 79-year-old female from West Portsmouth who was driving the Cadillac was not injured in the crash but was taken to Adams County Regional Medical Center as a precaution. A front seat passenger in the vehicle, a 77-year-old Portsmouth woman, sustained minor injuries in the wreck and was taken to Adams County Medical Center as well.

The crash continues to be investigated by the Georgetown Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
