A zebra owner in Pickaway County was hospitalized Sunday evening after being attacked by the animal. The Pickaway County Sheriff's Office says Deputies and medical crews were called to the man's property in the 6900 block of Darby Road near Circleville around 5:30 p.m. after receiving reports that the man, later identified as Ronald Clifton, was bitten on the right arm by the animal and seriously hurt. Sheriff Matthew Hafey says the zebra had to be put down after it became aggressive towards first responders who were attempting to help Clifton. He was transported to Grant Medical Center in Columbus, and listed in stable condition.
