The Chillicothe Ross County Public Library has scheduled an open house for its new Kingston Branch Library.
The open house is scheduled for Wednesday, May 10th from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the new Kingston Branch, located at 29 North Main Street in Kingston.

The new branch was first opened softly to library patrons in November of 2022 but still required a few finishing touches, such as landscaping. The new location is now fully complete and this open house will serve as the official grand opening.
The new location replaced the library's former Kingston branch which had been located inside the Ellis Building in the village’s downtown. The library system first moved into the Ellis Building in 1957 but eventually outgrew the space the building offered.
Plans for a new Kingston branch began in 2018, and now nearly five years later, it’s fully up and running.
