Fairfield Union started 4 players over 6’4” but Chillicothe’s defense contested most every shot and held the Falcons to 16 field goals in 40 attempts. The biggest defense was the clamp down Jayvon Maughmer put on FU’s Chase Poston. Poston was averaging over 20 points per game and was held scoreless by Maughmer.

.

The Cavs knocked down 26 of 52 shots for 52% and out rebounded the tall Falcons 28-20.

.

Balanced scoring was again key for Chillicothe. Noel hit for 16 while Beard added 11 and Maughmer 10. The offense received a huge boost from junior Kam Smith as he nailed 4 threes and came up with 14 points.

.

Fairfield Union shot only 40% on field goals and were only 2 of 10 on three pointers. The Falcons played without one of their starters Ryan Magill.

.

The visitors got a big effort from junior Charlie Bean off the bench as he hit for 15 markers. Senior Huston Harrah added 11 for the Falcons.

.

Chillicothe (ranked #6 in Division 1 AP poll) goes to (12-1) with their only loss to top ranked Cincinnati Moeller. The Cavs return home Friday to host Miami Trace in a FAC match.
