Meet Gabby, a 9-year-old beagle mix who is built like a beagle that got mixed with a potato. At around 40 pounds, this girl is the perfect combination of short, round, and absolutely adorable. Gabby is well past her wild child days and is perfectly content to lounge around with you all day. And they do mean ALL day. She seems to have two speeds: off and almost off. If you've been looking for a "smaller" dog who is easy to handle and doesn't require a daily marathon, Gabby might just be your gal.
Gabby is perfectly fine sharing space with other dogs, but she's not really the "let's hang out and play" type of friend. She's more of a "we can sit on the same couch, eat snacks, watch TV, and scroll TikTok without speaking to each other" kind of friend. Gabby was previously adopted but was returned because her family was having trouble getting her to go to the bathroom outside. The staff at the humane society think she has been housebroken in the past, so they think a little patience, understanding, and a consistent routine could help her get back on track.
At 9 years old, Gabby isn't asking for much. A comfortable couch, some good snacks, and someone who loves her just the way she is would suit her just fine. Adopting a senior dog means you might not get as many years together as you'd like, but that doesn't make those years any less worth having. Gabby is here for a good time, and she's hoping someone will give her the chance to spend her golden years being loved, spoiled, and occasionally mistaken for a decorative throw pillow. Old dogs are the best dogs, and Gabby is ready to prove it.
