The Ross County Sheriff's Department was recently able to receive two drug K9s thanks to support from some community groups and businesses.
Lt Mike Preston says both dogs have been working well, and they are pleased to have one on the road, and another, Jayleen, that works at the Ross County Jail.
Preston says not only has the dog found drugs in the jail, they believe she serves a deterrent for people trying to bring drugs in.
The Ross County Sheriff's Department currently has three K9s serving, two as drug dogs, the third, an explosives K9. The Sheriff's former Drug Dog, Shadow has retired.
