The current wind chill blast has local authorities concerned as to what could happen to people that are exposed to the extreme cold temperatures.

Ross County Sheriff George Lavender says if you are traveling in a vehicle, make sure it is equipped to protect you in case you become stranded.

If you are stranded and need to run your vehicle to remain warm, make sure the exhaust pipe is clear of any snow or dirt- so fumes won't back-up inside the vehicle.

Wind chills are dropping to 30 below zero through Wednesday.
