(AP) - An Ohio University supervisor has been charged with a felony count of obstructing justice after human bones were stolen from the medical college.

The county prosecutor says 49-year-old Jerry A. Reed is accused of tipping off another employee that he was under investigation for stealing and selling human bones from the school's osteopathic-medicine lab.

Reed oversaw the medical college office that supports integration of health information technology in the classroom. A university spokeswoman says he's been put on paid administrative leave.

The former lab assistant, 28-year-old Weston Henri Moquin, pleaded guilty to selling the bones. His attorney says he did it to support a drug habit.

Online court records listed no attorney for Reed, who is not accused of participating in Moquin's scheme.
