Although state Route 159 in Ross County is open to traffic, crews will be working through the night to restore a traffic signal at the route’s intersection with Kenworth Drive. ODOT officials say S.R. 159 was closed at Kenworth Drive during the early morning hours of Wednesday following an accident in which the signal poles were struck by a service truck.

Currently, the route is open to traffic, and a two-way stop has been erected on Kenworth Drive; however, ODOT contractors will be working throughout the evening to install new poles and repair the signals.

While S.R. 159 and Kenworth Drive will remain open, traffic will be maintained by flaggers and law enforcement officers as needed, and motorists are advised to exercise additional caution and to expect intermittent periods of short-term delay.

Officials anticipate the signal will be fixed by mid or late morning Thursday, October 10.
