The flood warning for Vinton and northern Jackson counties has been extended to 12:45am Saturday.
Vinton County remains at level 2 emergency because of high water. The sheriff's office requests avoiding non-important driving. Those who get stuck in high water on closed roads WILL be cited.
The Red Cross has opened a shelter at the McArthur Community Building, if anyone needs any assistance.
