A 2015 audit shows financial improvement for the City of Hillsboro from the year before.
The report, brought up by Mayor Drew Hastings at the latest session of Hillsboro City Council, shows financial improvement in the "net position" of the city from 2014. That year, the net position was slightly over $10.6-million. One year later in 2015, it was $14.9-million.
One reason provided for the increase was the city's aggressive pursuit of infrastructure grants.
