Ross Humane Society Assist "Harvey" Animal Rescue

(Metro News)- Ross County Humane Society officials will head to Texas to assist animal rescue efforts after Tropical Storm Harvey.  They'll help clear space next week for a shelter that's overcrowded with dogs and cats that were saved from floodwaters.

Humane Society officials say they'll pick up nearly two-dozen rescued animals for adoption and drop off pet food and supplies.

Pet food and cleaning supply donations are being accepted at the Ross County Humane Society on Lick Run Road from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Saturday.
