The Pike County Sheriff reports that a male body found Tuesday afternoon near a cemetery on Spicy Run Road off State Route 124, was the victim of an apparent self-inflicted gun shot wound.
A press release from the Pike County Sheriff states they have found "no indications of foul play" in the man's death. Pike deputies were called to the scene after a passer-by found the body.
The deceased has been identified as Jackie L. Jenkins of State Route 124, Piketon. His body was taken to the Montgomery County Coroner for more a more in-depth autopsy.
