E.R. Expansion Continues at Adena Regional MC

Construction to expand the emergency room at Adena Regional Medical Center is in it's fourth month, with a projected completion date being this summer. Adena Medical Center Vice President Nick Alexander says the ER will see more exam rooms.

While they will have more space, it won't necessarily mean more E.R. doctors at this time, but contends it's space limitations that causes a "patient bottleneck" at times, not the amount of attending physicians. He did say that they will be recruiting more doctors as the community need continues to grow.

Last year, Adena's E.R. saw approximately 47,000 patients, but can hand up to 60,000.

In a related note, the Adena Health Foundation will be hosting a fundraising gala on December 2nd at The Madison On Paint, running from 6:30pm-10pm.
