New Cancer Treatment Brings Promise at The James

A new kind of cancer treatment focusing on adults with advanced lymphoma is now being used at The James Cancer Center at Ohio State University.

In the new treatment called CAR-T, a patient's own white blood cells are retrained to fight certain kind of cancers.

The CAR-T treatment is said to act quickly, with fewer side effects than traditional treatments in patients who failed two rounds of chemotherapy, radiation or stem cell treatment.
