The American Red Cross has issued an urgent appeal for blood donors.
Due to significantly low blood donations earlier this season, and the recent snow hitting large portions of the East Coast this last week, the Red Cross is looking for donors of all blood types to answer the call to come in and donate.
The Ross County Chapter of the American Red Cross has a couple of blood drives coming up this week. The first will take place on Tuesday, January 9th at the Chillicothe VA Building 9 Auditorium from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
On Friday, January 12th, area law enforcement and firefighters will go up against one another for the annual Guns-N-Hoses blood drive. That event pits Ross County Firefighters against county law enforcement to see who can sign up the most donors. Guns-N-Hoses will take place this Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Ross County Law Complex.
Walk-ins will be accepted at both blood drives.
