Monday Opens Judging for Livestock at Ross Fair

Livestock judging got underway at the Ross County Fair, Monday.

Reserve Champion Market Chicken, Chris Miller

Poultry Showmanship winners:

Intermediate Showmanship winner, Claire Smith

Sr. Showmanship winner, Ruth Beery

Miles Blackstone took home grand champion honors for Fancy Chicken.


In the Market Goat Show:

Champion- Gracie Day

Reserve Champion- Ashtyn Vollmar

Third Place Overall- Parker Whittington

Fourth Place Overall- Bailey Brumfield

Fifth Place Overall and Ross County Bred Born and Raised Champion- Rylee Elliott

Reserve Champion Bred Born and Raised- Gabriel Corcoran

Performance Champion- Caroline Corcoran


Longtime fair supporter Steve Gary has been named 2018 Friend of 4-H at the Ross County Fair.


Blue ribbon honors were also on display in the Fine Arts and Junior Fair Buildings.

Also, make sure you stop into the Multi Purpose Building and vote on the prettiest baby, in the Annual Baby Photo Contest sponsored by Premier Women's Health. Proceeds from the yearly contest fund a project at Pioneer Center and the Ross County Board of DD.

Here are a couple of little tikes we saw that have been entered into the contest. The winner will be announced after 8pm Friday.
