ODOT Seeks Comment on Proposed Road Projects

The Ohio Department of Transportation is seeking public input for projects on U.S. Route 23 and state Route 207 in Ross County.


The proposed project is to perform slide repair and drainage improvements to the northbound shoulder of U.S. 23 near George Hollow Road and replacing the structure over a tributary of Hay Run in Deerfield Township, immediately south of the village of Clarksburg. The project will not require any new right of way, and no homes or businesses will be removed as a result of this project.


A separate contract for each project is scheduled to be awarded in the summer of 2019, and although a full closure of either route is not anticipated, single-lane restrictions will be in effect and short-term, intermittent periods of closure may be needed during some phases of construction.
