Chillicothe Tuesday Traffic Stop Nets Drug Arrest


One person was arrested after Chillicothe Police Department K-9 unit made a traffic stop of a vehicle Tuesday afternoon in the area of East Second and Hickory Streets.  


The front seat passenger of the vehicle was identified as 18-year-old Toban Byrd of Whaley Place. While searching Byrd, he was found to have in his possession 9 grams of heroin, 109 2mg Xanax pills, 2 grams of methamphetamines, and 1 gram of crack cocaine, along with $1,700 in cash.  


A loaded 9mm handgun and one gram of marijuana was found in the vehicle.  


The Chillicothe Police Department was assisted in this investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and the US 23 Major Crimes Task Force.
