Investigation Still Open after Thanksgiving Nail Dump

(Baltimore, OH)  --  Police in Fairfield County are still looking for the person or persons responsible for dumping thousands of roofing nails along State Route 256 and State Route 158 on Thanksgiving Day.

Officials yesterday began releasing details of the incident including the amount of nails that were left on the roadways.

According to Baltimore Police Chief Mike Tussey, an estimated 300 pounds of nails worth almost 400-dollars were scattered last week and whoever did it is probably facing felony charges.

Officials did their best to clean up the roads but service stations and local mechanics say they still had to repair or plug at least 20 tires from area residents.
