Legislator Seeks End to Limits on Sexual Assault Cases

(Columbus, OH)  --  Outgoing state Senator Joe Schiavoni is proposing legislation that would put an end to statute of limitations on cases of rape and sexual assault in Ohio.

The term-limited Democrat announced the details of his bill yesterday while standing next to some of the people who have accused former Ohio State team doctor Richard Strauss of sexual abuse.

Schiavoni's bill would eliminate the current 25-year time limit victims have to report the offense in both criminal and civil court.
