Drug Search at Chillicothe Residence Yields Suspected Drugs, Two Arrests

Two people are facing charges following the execution of a search warrant due to recent drug activity in Chillicothe.

Detectives from the Chillicothe Police Department and Ohio State Highway Patrol obtained a search warrant on Monday afternoon for 419 E Water St. due to drug activity. The Chillicothe Police SWAT team executed the warrant and found 4 individuals inside the residence.

Detectives located approximately 14 grams of suspected cocaine, and 14 grams of suspected heroin believed to contain the powerful and deadly drug fentanyl.

Antonio Russell, of Columbus, was arrested for felony drug possession of heroin and cocaine. He faces an additional charge of falsification for providing detectives with a false name. Jason Smith, of Circleville, was also arrested on a probation violation from Circleville.

The case will be sent to the Ross County Prosecutors Office for review.
