Judge Refuses to Dismiss Charges Against Fredericka Wagner

(ONN) -- Charges against a 76-year-old woman were not dropped, despite her attorney's claim that she played no role in a mass killing in Pike County.

-

Fredericka Wagner's attorney told a Pike County Court judge she made what he calls a simple, honest mistake and asked the judge to dismiss all the charges. Wagner is charged with perjury and obstruction of justice in connection with the murders of eight members of the Rhoden Family in April 2016.

The controversy swirls around bullet proof vests purchased by Wagner. Prosecutors told the court there's much more to the case and accused the defense attorney of attempting to try the case in the media. The judge refused to drop the charges.
