Due to the current screening process and traffic pattern changes at the Chillicothe VA Medical Center, the Ross County Board of Elections is temporarily moving the polling location for Union Township to the Ross County Fairgrounds Multipurpose Building, at 344 Fairgrounds Road.
The polling location move is for the precincts of Union Central, Union East and Union North will be held at the Ross County Fairgrounds for the Primary Election on Tuesday, March 17th.
The Chillicothe VA is working to protect its patients and visitors by conducting screening for the Coronavirus at its entrances prior to admission onto the campus.
The VA encourages anyone with symptom such as fever, cough and shortness of breath, or those have recently returned from China, or those who have direct exposure to someone diagnosed with Covid-19, to call their healthcare provider and let them know.
This is merely a precautionary measure to protect patients and visitors. Though three cases of the virus have been confirmed in northern Ohio's Cuyahoga County, there have been zero cases of the virus reported locally.
