Area Fireworks Schedule Much Different Than Usual

Ohioans can celebrate July 4th with fireworks this year as long as large crowds of people don't gather to watch them. Many communities such as Chillicothe and Washington Court House have already canceled fireworks displays because of the COVID-19 pandemic or a loss of revenue due to the pandemic, but some are still planned.

Hillsboro's show, Booming in the ’Boro, is still on and is scheduled for July 3.

Lieutenant Governor Jon Husted urged anyone attending such a celebration to wear face masks and maintain social distancing. Large gatherings are still prohibited statewide.
