The Unioto Shermans cross country team had their eye on a state title, but had to settle for a respectable third place finish in the Division 2 State Championships, Saturday at Fortress Obetz.
The Tanks' highest placing runners were Gabe Lynch and Corey Schobelock at 7th and 8th, respectively. Clayton Lynch was 15th, Seth Ogan 74th, Matt Spetnagel 83rd, Turner Markko 127th.Luke Kendrew was 132nd.
Unioto was state runner-up in 2019.
In Division 3, Cohen Frost of Leesburg Fairfield was 32nd, Adena's Ryan Richendollar was 65th
