Gang Leader Sentenced After Leading Illegal Drug Trade

(24/7 News Source) -- A Central Ohio gang leader is heading to prison after being sentenced for his role in a drug operation from Columbus to Portsmouth.

U.S. Attorney David DeVillers confirmed that 41-year-old Eric Henderson Senior, known by the street name "Easy", had been sentenced to 15-years behind bars.

Henderson was a high-ranking member of the Trevitt and Anderson Crips gang in the King-Lincoln District and beginning in 2015, had recruited drug traffickers to run heroin, oxycodone, and crack cocaine from the Columbus area to Portsmouth in Scioto County.

According to DeVillers, members of Henderson's gang have also been prosecuted for five murders between 2012 and 2016.
