Lowe Sworn-In As Ross County's First Black County Commissioner

Local elected officials were sworn into office Thursday, December 31st in ceremonies at the Ross County Courthouse.

The ceremony included a history making event with James “Oody” Lowe being sworn-in as the first African American to be elected Ross County Commissioner. The day had a double blessing for the former Chillicothe police officer, as it was his birthday.

Lowe’s first public meeting as commissioner is Monday.
