Ross NAACP Event to Promote Vaccination to Local African American Community

The Ross County NAACP will be sponsoring an upcoming event aimed at encouraging the local African American population to get vaccinated against COVID-19.

The Ross County NAACP, along with its various partners, will hold the event titled: I’ve Got Mine - on Tuesday, April 27th at 7:00 p.m. at Ohio University Chillicothe.

The Ross County NAACP has partnered with the Ross County Health District, Adena Health System and The United Way of Ross County for the event, which will share information with attendees in hopes of getting more of the African American Community Vaccinated. Studies have shown that members of the black community have been less likely to get vaccinated, due in part to a lack of information concerning the vaccine and the challenges faced.

The Ross County Health District will be offering vaccines during the presentation.
