Ohio Supreme Court rules on teachers and guns

Ohio's Supreme Court has ruled on whether teachers can carry guns on schools grounds. The court reaffirmed the state law that says Ohio school teachers, administrators and staff members are not allowed to carry firearms while on duty, unless they completed basic peace officer training, or had 20 years experience as a peace officer. The challenge stemmed from a policy in the Madison Local School District in Butler County, following a shooting at a Junior-Senior High School in 2016 that injured four students. The Court says their resolution did not comply with state law.
