A man has been charged with murder in the shooting death of a 65-year-old man in Pike County.
According to the Pike County Sheriff’s Office, Aaron Dale Cox has been charged in the death of 65-year-old Christopher Martin. The shooting took place on the morning of August 21st at a residence located at 2206 Muddy Fork Road in Cynthiana.
Mr. Cox appeared in Pike County court on Monday, August 30th and was given a $1-million cash bond.
A second suspect in the case, Ashley Lynn Landrum is currently being held in Ross County on unrelated charges, but a warrant charging her with murder has been issued against her. A warrant against a third suspect in the case, Dalton James Boyd has also been issued in connection to Martin’s murder.
This past Friday, authorities in Highland County executed a search warrant at home on Overman Road in relation to the case. There, the officers found numerous amounts of drugs and a firearm.
