Chillicothe Council accepts funds, approves park & street usage for parade

Four agenda items passed during Monday's Chillicothe City Council meeting. After waiving the three-read rule, council members passed ordinances to accept $16,000 in grant money from the Ross County Health District for the Narcan Leave Behind partnership with the fire department; to accept a $35,000 subaward from the Ross County Health District for the Ross County Active Transportation Plan; and to allow an agreement between the county commissioners and city where the city is eligible for state reimbursement regarding the appointment of counsel to indigent criminal defendants. Council also passed a resolution allowing Yoctangee Park and certain city streets to be used for the Halloween Parade on October 30th.

An ordinance to update the non-bargaining pay ordinance and payrate for city's Development Director position will move on for a third reading.
