Indiana Man Claims First at World Pumpkin Pie-Eating Championships

A national competitive eating champion is adding another trophy to his case after winning a pie-eating contest Sunday in the Fayette County town of Jeffersonville.

Destination Outlets hosted the 2021 World Pumpkin Pie-Eating Championships with Joey Chestnut placing first after downing 16-pounds-12-ounces of pie.

Chestnut lives in Indiana and is known for winning the Nathan's Famous Fourth of July Hot Dog Eating Contest 14 times.

Geoff Esper finished second with 15-pounds-12-ounces, and Miki Sudo and Nick Wehry tied for third place with ten-pounds-12-ounces.
