AG warns about Halloween treats

Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost is warning parents and trick-or-treaters about marijuana edibles made to look like popular snack foods and candy. On Tuesday, Yost said the amount of THC in the look-alike products could have serious consequences on children. Last August, Columbus Police seized cannabis-laced edibles labeled to look like snacks made by the Frito Lay and Nabisco companies, including Cheetos, Fritos, Cool Ranch Doritos, and Oreo cookies. Officials say to check labels thoroughly and to throw away any loose or unsealed candy or items given in plastic or Ziploc bags. Many areas have Beggars Night activities scheduled for tomorrow.
