A Scioto County woman has been indicted on child endangerment and felonious assault charges. Scioto County Sheriff David Thourougman's recieved a call from in February from Nationwide Children's Hospital saying that a 16-month-old child had been brought there, with injuries possibly from child abuse. The ensuing investigation provided evidence to charge the child's mother, 33-year-old Heather Mollett of Franklin Furnace. Mollett was charged with five counts of endangering children, one count of child endangerment, and two counts of felonious assault. Mollett is being held in the Scioto County Jail without bond and will appear in Scioto County Common Pleas Court at a later date. The investigation is ongoing.
