Longtime OSU PA Voice passes away

A voice familiar to diehard Buckeyes fans is now gone. Officials with the OSU Athletics Department have confirmed Ohio Stadium PA announcer Bob Kennedy passed away at his home on Saturday night at the age of 59. Kennedy made announcements for games at The Horseshoe and other sporting events for more than two decades. Associate AD Jerry Emig says Kennedy was a true professional, had a big heart, and was a friend to the entire Ohio State athletics community. Kennedy was scheduled to announce Sunday's Ohio State vs Illinois baseball game, and when he did not show up to Bill Davis Stadium, OSU officials contacted authorities to make a wellness check on Kennedy. He was found dead in his home.
