Wind Advisory in Effect Until 10PM Thursday, March 1st

The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a Wind Advisory for Thursday. It will remain in effect until 10:00 p.m.

They say there is potential for gusts up to 50 MPH coming from northwest. Winds are expected to increase throughout Thursday afternoon and will begin to decrease during the overnight.

Possible impacts include scattered tree and power line damage, and possible minor property damage during the strongest gusts. Strong winds can also make driving difficult in low-weight cars and high profile vehicles (vehicles that sit higher off the ground such as vans, campers, semis and trailers).
