Adena Health System is coordinating a regional Sexual Assault Awareness event the Saturday morning of April 28th- that starts in front of the Ross County Courthouse.
The 10am event will see participants walking from there to Yoctangee Park, where they will release flowers in the lake that represent the victims of sexual assault reported locally in 2017.
157 adults and children came to Adena Medical Center for sexual assault in 2017.
Adena Sexual Assault Survivor Advocate Nicole Bullock says they have a help line for victims, along with the many other services they offer to victims, including walking alongside the victim through the reporting and recovery process.
