The Ross County Common Pleas Court will benefit from a nearly $69,000 grant from the Ohio Supreme Court.
The $68,741 grant was received through the Ohio Courts Technology Initiative. It will be used to enhance the court’s existing case management system by adding e-filing and electronic payment options.
Once implemented, attorneys and litigants will be able to file pleadings and motions with the court and pay fees without having to physically travel to the courthouse.
The enhancement is expected to reduce the need for paper copies, scanning and data entry, while increasing timely public access to information.
The grant is the third received by the Ross County Common Pleas General Division since the Ohio Supreme Court began awarding Court Technology Grants in 2015.
