The Ross County Heroin Partnership is reporting that the Chillicothe/Ross County community has experienced an unusually high amount of overdoses in the last week, specifically the last three days.
The partnership says the sudden spike in overdose incidents "most likely represents the presence of extremely potent opioid narcotic products that may have been disguised as heroin or fake pills designed to look like real pharmaceuticals.
This product is causing rapid respiratory depression upon ingestion, which can cause a higher risk of death.
