The SVC saw two of their three Division 2 baseball teams claim sectional titles Thursday night.
SVC regular season champion Unioto rolled past Vinton County by an 8-3 score, while Zane Trace edged Alexander 4-3.
The Pioneers will advance to the district semis at Athens High School, Monday at 5pm, against Circleville. The Tigers advanced with a 9-4 win over Fairfield Union.
The Shermans will head to Ohio University on Monday at 7pm, to play Sheridan. The Generals won their sectional crown with an 11-1 win over the Westfall Mustangs.
94 Country WKKJ will broadcast the Unioto-Sheridan game, with airtime at approximately 7pm. WKKJ also will have "score updates" on the Zane Trace-Circleville game.
Should both SVC teams win, ZT would play for the upper bracket district title at 5pm Wednesday at OU, with Unioto to follow- should they also advance.
