The damaged warehouse at the northeast corner of Mulberry and Main in Chillicothe is now a little more secure after being damaged by a pickup truck in late November.
Chillicothe Mayor Luke Feeney says he is satisfied with recent stabilization work done to secure the corner of the building. That work was recently undertaken due to issues with bricks falling onto the sidewalk.
"The main concern was safety," said Mayor Feeney. "And that has been secured to a certain extent. We've been told there are plans to fix the building, and I think what we've seen is progress towards that."
The mayor says the city's patience in the matter does have a limit, and if pledges to repair the building are not met during the warmer weather months, the city will have to re-evaluate its position.
