A major road construction project is underway north of Chillicothe. The Ohio Department of Transportation says construction begins at the intersection of U.S. 23 and Crouse Chapel Road with crews constructing turn lanes from north and southbound U.S. 23 to Crouse Chapel Road.
The median crossover at 23 and Crouse Chapel will be closed. Construction will also include installing a left-turn lane from southbound U.S. 23 to Blackwater Road, as well as resurfacing State Route 159 through the village of Kingston.
Throughout construction, traffic on U.S. 23 will be maintained in a minimum of one lane in each direction. Crouse Chapel and Blackwater Roads will be subject to periods of temporary closure. Traffic on S.R. 159 will be maintained by flaggers when crews are at work.
